The Growth Editor will play a key role creating and experimenting with career content aimed at a young, global audience. This will include helping to expand the reach and influence of HBR Ascend, a growing brand for millennials around the world, and managing content on a new HBR Snapchat channel. The right person for this role has an entrepreneurial spirit and will move easily between different types of digital platforms. He or she will be energized by identifying content that helps a young, international audience start their career and by helping to grow a new digital brand. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable both editing text and devising visual approaches to engage social audiences.

The editor will help fulfill HBR's wider mission to publish ideas around the world that improve the practice of management and help people do their jobs better.
--Creating and managing content for HBR Ascend, including editing, adapting, and curating content about starting a career and evaluating pitches and submissions from outside contributors.
--Managing visual stories for a new Snapchat channel, including helping with production and other logistics. Contribute to overall Snapchat strategy and identify opportunities to experiment on other emerging media platforms.
--Identifying opportunities to leverage Snapchat and other social platforms to increase awareness of Ascend content and drive new audience growth.
--Working with a high-level internal innovation team to evaluate audience growth and assess new strategic opportunities to connect with younger audiences.
--Experimenting with new ways to engage a global audience on issues related to succeeding in the workplace, growing your career, and learning new skills.
-- Collaborating as needed design, product, and external vendors as needed to ensure a high-quality experience across all platforms.
--Assessing analytics and other data to help measure the success of Ascend, Snapchat, and other projects as assigned.
--3-5 years digital editorial experience
--Experience working on Snapchat or Instagram
--Experience with audio and video a plus.
--Interest in or experience with business and/or management content
--Proven skills in collaborating and communicating across teams.
--Team-oriented mindset, someone who enjoys collaborating with people around the world.
